Welcome

 Message from the Chairman

From the Chairman:

Well members, it is a new year and so much to look forward to.  The majority of us start the year off with many resolutions and some we do keep and others well, they do not make it past lunch the next day.  But as long as you are keeping your health and still happy in life, then that is a great way to start the year.  On that note just a friendly reminder of your membership dues.  Please get them in soonest as it is a new year, me included.

With the spring coming fast approaching us, many of our traditional and annual parades and functions will be soon upon us.  Once I get more confirmation I will pass along quickly. Moreuil Wood is planned for the following dates:

            a.  20 March             Moreuil Wood Sports day

            b.  21 March             Sr NCO's Mess Dinner ( waiting a reply for invitations )

            c.  22 March             Moreuil Wood parade ( timings to follow )

            d.  22 March             Officers Mess Dinner

            e.  24 March             Strathcona Welcome Home All Ranks Dinner and Dance ( more to follow soon )

As it will be a fun time for all and a precious time for the Regiment, hopefully we will have a huge turn out and parade the old guard.    On 26 Jan we were going to have our monthly meeting at the Edmonton Garrison Sgt & WO Mess, unfortunately at that time I will be away in Calgary doing army stuff. Yes army stuff. But if you all wish, it still would be great if you met at the Norwood Legion for dinner and talks like before.  If there are any issues or questions you can send to me.

I do wish you all the very best in 2012. may it be healthy, safe and warm and hopefully uneventful and relaxed.  Looking forward to seeing you all upon my return and in Feb when we can have another meeting and plan for Moreuil Wood then as well.  Take care.
