Welcome

 Message from the Chairman

 From the Chairman:

Happy spring to all of you after a long cold but not to bad winter as far as winters go in Alberta.  As in any season we as well will be changing in the coming seasons with many new challenges coming our way with movement of the main branch of the Association coming to Edmonton in the up and coming future.  To move ahead to ensure its success there will be much planning and commitments which I am very positive that we can accomplish.

Among these challenges we will as well have our annual events that we will be holding and meetings.  Our next meeting we would love to see more members come out as we do have much to pass along and try to have a general consensus from the membership for the way ahead.  25 April 12 will be our next meeting, being held at the Edmonton Garrison Sgt & WO Mess at 18:30 for 19:00.  Please come and enjoy a great meal prior to the meeting at the Sgts Mess.  The prices are great as well as a first rate meal.  Then we can retire upstairs to the upper lounge and deck.

During this time we will bring you up to date on the future of the Alberta Association prior to the meeting in Calgary.  As well we would like to go over planning for the Melfa River meal remembering the Battle of Melfa River 24 MAY. We would like to look as well to a year end BBQ at the regimental lines dates to follow, but would make for a great year end function. At this time we will look at how things are shaping up for the Nathan Hornburg event and fund raising.

so we would like to see a much bigger crowd this time if possible so we can look at the future.  Please pass on to all of our membership as well as facebook membership. I do have tons of applications and it is only $20.00 a year.  Very worth while.

Hope to see you all out.  Have a safe, healthy and wonderful spring.

Jim Merritt
Chairman
